Number of private companies staff in Romania declined by 25 percent at the level of August 2009 compared to the crisis start, in June 2008, according to a study presented on Tuesday by payroll and personnel administration outsourcing company Paylogic. Over the mentioned period, the gross wage fund dropped by 18 percent and the number of sick leave hours declined by 30 percent.
As well, a drop of 47 percent in the gross bonuses per employee was recorded and the number of extra working hours declined by 74 percent.
Compared to the beginning of 2009 the number of private companies staff was in August 13 percent less, the gross bonuses per employee diminished by 24 percent and the volume of gross wage fund was reduced by 10 percent.
