Three Renault suppliers plan to enter Romania

Three car part suppliers for Renault and Automobile Dacia manufacturers plan to enter Romania through investments in a future industrial park located on the former ARO car factory site, in the southern Romanian town of Campulung.

However, the main constructor who planned to build the industrial park gave up the project, according to a statement for Business Standard by Sergiu Filip, General Manager of Landmark Management, the company that took over the former ARO car factory.

“We are negotiating with six car parts suppliers, of which three work for Automobile Dacia and Renault and are not present in Romania,” Filip added.

Contacted by Business Standard, Automobile Dacia Vice President, Constantin Stroe, confirmed that Dacia-Renault suppliers are negotiating to come to Campulung, but declined to provide their names.
