Export Insurance Services, Inc. (EIS), Augusta, Ga., is to receive the 2007 Small Business Broker of the Year award from the Export-Import Bank of the United States (Ex-Im Bank) at Ex-Im Bank's annual conference in Washington, D.C., on Thursday, April 12.
EIS is being recognized for the outstanding growth in its portfolio of U.S. small business exporters who are actively using Ex-Im Bank insurance -- a 65 percent increase from 2005 to 2006. The broker also has shown leadership in bringing its small business clients to Ex-Im Bank's new on-line insurance application process, which is designed to speed up service to users. This enables Ex-Im Bank to better carry out its mission of supporting U.S. exports and, in the process, creating and sustaining U.S. jobs. EIS is among the top three brokers serving small business exporters for Ex-Im Bank.
