American company TechTeam Global, which owns outsourcing and IT services companies TechTeam Akela and Tech Team Global on the Romanian market, has reached some 500 employees in its Bucharest centres, Mihai-Daniel Popa, Business Development Manager at TechTeam Akela told ZF. Out of the 500 employees, 180 work for TechTeam Akela. At the end of last year, TechTeam Akela had 110 employees. TechTeam Akela, whose main line of business is development and maintenance services for software applications in outsourced centres, estimates it will end the year with a four million-euro turnover, double against last year. "Currently, the company's activity is on the rise, and this year has been an exceptional year, which saw our strategic customer base grow considerably.
Moreover, we have also integrated TechTeam Akela services with those of TechTeam Global this year, which has given us a significant advantage over our competitors," says Mihai-Daniel Popa. "We think the IT industry offers some of the biggest opportunities for Romania in the near future. The IT market currently provides Romania with the opportunity to use its traditional advantages - exceptional technical knowledge, multi-lingual human capital, its geographic position (...)," believes Popa.
