IT support in London in the form of an outsourced IT department is now a relatively mature market, but there is clear evidence that businesses in countries across Europe are also beginning to benefit from the service.
As reported by DMeurope, for instance, IT outsourcing has become central to the basic expansion of the IT industry in Finland.
The industry will reportedly grow by 5.1 per cent in 2006, which will be up from just 3.9 per cent in 2005.
A report from market research company IDC suggests that the IT outsourcing market is particularly strong in Finland because of the proximity of Russia and the Baltic states, although onshore outsourcing is becoming just as relevant as offshore outsourcing to many businesses.
